Brad Abernathy

I’m Brad Abernathy—a Gainesville, Georgia–based real estate leader with more than 30 years of experience, a lifelong community advocate, and the founder of The Faces Of, a national movement rooted in local storytelling.
I grew up in a real estate family and earned my degree from Georgia Tech before returning home to Gainesville, Georgia, to begin my career in the business I knew best. In 2009, Regina Cochran and I co-founded the Abernathy Cochran Real Estate Group. Together, we helped lead Hall County in home sales for more than a decade, closing over $500 million in residential real estate. During that time, our group ranked number one in Hall County for sales and/or sales volume for ten consecutive years—proof that relationships, when built authentically, still drive real results.
Our group always focused on marketing with heart—helping clients find their home by being deeply embedded in the community we served.
But in 2015, something shifted. I wanted more than just another transaction—I wanted to build something meaningful that created connection, not just exposure. So I launched The Faces Of Hall County to spotlight the people who make our town special. What started as a community marketing idea quickly became the most impactful thing I’ve ever done.
We interviewed teachers, business owners, farmers, students, doctors—one person at a time. And what we found was this: when you give someone the spotlight, you create value. You create trust. You create relationships that matter.
People began to feel seen. And our business grew—not because we asked for it, but because we gave first.
Over time, the ripple effect became clear. The Faces Of helped increase our visibility, grow our influence, and generate real business in an authentic, lasting way. It built bridges. It changed lives. It changed mine.
After helping hundreds of agents and professionals across the country grow through visibility and connection, I realized this model could work anywhere people cared about their community.
Now, I’m sharing this platform with other professionals—one person per town across North America. With partners in towns across 30 states and one province, and growing, The Faces Of is helping others build community, relevance, and leadership in the places they call home.
Becoming a partner is simple. We provide the platform, the framework, the ideas, and ongoing support. You bring your heart, your leadership, and your belief in the power of connection.
Whether you’re a seasoned professional or building your business from the ground up, The Faces Of gives you the tools to become the most connected and visible person in your town—while making a lasting difference in people’s lives.
“We are more alike, my friends, than we are unalike.” — Maya Angelou
I believe this with everything in me. This project has helped people know each other better. It has helped communities grow stronger. And it continues to inspire me every day.
Thank you for considering being a part of this movement. I hope we get the chance to build something amazing—together.
All the best,
Brad Abernathy
