How One Interview Sparked an 8-Year Partnership and $65M in New Home Sales

In the very first year of launching The Faces of Hall County, we featured a custom home builder who had been in our market for decades.

I’d known him personally for over 20 years. We had referred each other some business here and there, but it was nothing formal.

He’d been following our project quietly for a while—watching the stories we were sharing and how we were spotlighting people from every corner of the community. When we asked to feature him, he was genuinely excited.

“I love this project,” he told me. “It’s different. It matters.”

A few months after his story was published, he invited me to lunch.

Over that lunch, he made a proposal:
He asked if my real estate group would handle all marketing and sales for his growing custom home business.

This builder operated differently—he had a $1.2 million model home and sold luxury new builds across 10 counties, all from that central location.

We agreed to take it on: marketing, model home sales, and every new build he produced.

Now, eight years later, that relationship has resulted in more than $65 million in closed new home projects.

It didn’t start with a pitch.
It started with a spotlight.
With recognition.
With value.

Giving value and being open to receive turned a casual relationship into a thriving long-term partnership.

All the best,
Brad
